The Museum/Library will be open Sundays 2-4 April through October. Exceptions: We will be closed on holiday weekends and if we have scheduling problems. It is suggested if you are coming from out-of-town, contact Sinuard Castelo 765-348-3103 before you make the trip to confirm that we will be open.

Over 30 cemeteries in Blackford County have been photographed and indexed by Judy and Max Wiesenauer. This index is now available to the public for research at the Hisorical Society during regular hours or by appointment.


Brenda McAtee completed the Hartford City Cemetery records this fall with over 11,200 names. This is also available for research at the Historical Society.


Individual Family Names. An index of these pdf files is available. This individual material is filed alphabetically in the vertical file cabinet. These files might contain newspaper clippings, pictures, brochures, letters, family bible pages, etc..
